I am 56 years old and experienced the typical paranoia when faced with the prospect of turning 50 six years ago. I had hired a personal trainer in Newtown, Pa that I worked with for 2 years. Most of that training involved Weight Lifting without much concentration on the body functionality. Because of a move in work location I began working with Aimee Keiluhn. I met Aimee about eight years ago. Soon afterwards I hit a spot in life where I detested the weight I had gained and was depressed. Aimee called me one day and shared with me her own story. She put me at ease and began teaching me about food; specifically, about protein, vegetables and fruits and showed me how to devise a plan that would work with my lifestyle. What happened was I began to plan meals with protein, eliminated sugar and made protein bars and nuts my new friends. I kept them in the car and also talked to Aimee about how to handle dining out and social gatherings. The key for me was telling others I was on a NEW FOOD PLAN. That statement was key for me because I viewed dieting as something temporary.

Within a year I had lost 40 lbs. and I felt better than I had ever felt since I was in my 20’s. I am 57 years old and have my share of chronic disorders; post laminectomy syndrome, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fungal arthritis, bi-polar disorder and depression. I hit another wall this year and have maintained only a 30 lb. loss. Discouraged, I told Aimee that once again, I needed help. Before the end of the day, once again I had two diets in front of me. I am treating my FOOD PLAN with appreciation because I have many things to choose from; things that cut inflammation and allow for a full life.

The finest choice I have made is to ask Aimee to help me. She has taught me many things, encourages and supports me and celebrates my victories. She is one of the finest human beings I know.

I hate working out!! I tried the gym, classes and at home videos and never enjoyed any of them. Aimee is truly the first workout I actually have fun with. A lot of time I might not think I can finish but she always pushes me through and I feel great at the end. Aimee- Thank you - for everything! When I first came to the gym, I was looking to work on cardio, so that I could keep up with my kids, skiing at 12,000 + feet in Colorado. You gave me great advice on how to maximize my cardio work-outs and suggested I "target" train. You developed a work-out schedule where you focused on my core, legs, and toning overall muscle groups. You tailored my cardio so it was maximized for ski performance. You "changed-up" my work-out routines by adding agility drills so as to keep the work-outs from becoming repetitive or boring. You also gave me a copy of your book -"Every Body Loses", which helped me to eat right and feed my body what it needed to tone muscle and burn fat.

I started out 214 lbs. with body fat at 19.2%. After 6 months of training, 3-4 days a week, I weighed 191 lbs. and more importantly my body fat dropped to 10.7%. I was trim, toned, and strong! I skied the Rockies with my kids and felt great!

All of my family members have been training with Aimee in our home for about 6 years. My specific regime is twice a week for an hour each session. We are very pleased with her work. In my case, the training is for general fitness and it has done wonders in improving my stamina and strength.

Aimee designed an evolving program to challenge all parts of my body sequentially and has been very effective in modifying the program as necessary to work around injuries (in my case, an infected elbow and a bad shoulder) without having to suspend training entirely for any significant period. She is a good listener in hearing what new aches and pains might be bothering me on any particular day and modifying that day’s work-out to respond to it. She also remembers week to week what problems I have been having and has that in her plan as we start each day’s session.
